Scenic Byway Tour “Willow Creek”

Join Marsha Freedman, author of “Willow Creek History” as she shares some of the history of the area.  Tour starts at 9:00 AM at the Bass Lake Post Office.  There will be a short walk to Chilkoot Lake and then a moderate hike to the confluence of Chilkoot Lake and Willow Creek.

It promises to be an adventure!  Bring swimwear.

North Fork Chamber Pens an ‘Open Letter to the Community.’
Local businesses ask residents to consider the affects of their spending habits during the holiday season.

North Fork, CA –On Monday December 1st, 2013 the North Fork Chamber of Commerce will release a letter encouraging residents to ‘Think Local First’ this holiday season and support local business. The letter, which cites data from a recent consumer study, describes how money spent locally helps build sustainable communities, and explains how dollars spent in another county by residents are being used to fund lawsuits against their own Eastern Madera Community.

North Fork Community Choir

The performance is held every year on the first Saturday of December at North Fork school in Kennedy Hall. This year the show is on Dec. 7, and will feature performances by choirs from around the mountain area, which has historically included Minarets, Sierra and Yosemite High Schools, in addition to the North Fork bunch.
